This year, Foothill College will honor the life, legacy and the 50th Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination during our Annual Dr. King Jr. Tribute/Black History Month Opening Ceremony.

Join us for complimentary lunch, live entertainment, an "I Have a Dream Speech" reenactment and our keynote speaker, the Honorable Elihu M. Harris. Mr. Harris served as Mayor of Oakland for two terms. He was a 12-year member of the California State Assembly, during which time he authored the historic 1981 legislation designating Dr. King's birthday a California state holiday.
