Steps to Apply

Application  
Complete, sign, and submit a complete application with a copy of your passport and a recent photograph.

English proficiency test score
Submit a copy/original proof of English proficiency test score, taken within the last 2 years (ex: if the year is 2018, your test must have been taken between 2016-2018). A minimum score on any of the following examinations is required for admission:

TOEFL - 61 iBT (Foothill ETS code is 4315)
IELTS - 6.0 
iTEP - Level 4  
EIKEN - 2A
Duolingo - 50 
Pearson PTE Academic - 45 
Cambridge - 175+ on advanced or proficiency exam
GTEC CBT - 1100

Financial Statement 
Submit an original/official bank letter that verifies a minimum of the total estimated cost, dated within the last 6 months (ex: if you are submitting for January 30 deadline, your letter must be dated betwen August - January). 
If your bank is located in the U.S. and a bank letter can't be produced, you may submit a bank statement. In order to verify that the funds are currently available, you or your sponsor will be required to come into the office and log in to your account.

Transcripts 
Submit an original/official secondary and post-secondary school transcripts. All documents must be in English or officially translated into English. For students who attended schools in the U.S., please submit an official transcript from all schools you've attended.

Application Fee
We require a $75 USD application fee to review your application and determine your eligibility.

Shipping Fee
If your admission decision packet needs to be mailed outside of the U.S., we require a $75 USD shipping fee. We utilize DHL as our courier but will also use alternative couriers if DHL doesn't deliver to your mailing address. We will e-mail you the tracking number so that you are able to track the doucment online. The shipping fee will only be charged if necessary to mail outside of the U.S.

Please Note:

  • If you are applying to a Biology or Health program, you must follow a separate application procedure.
  • Foothill does not evaluate foreign transcripts for course waivers or to transfer credits.
  • If you are an F-1 student from another school and are interested in concurrent enrollment, follow these steps.
