Summer Intensive English Program

The Summer Intensive English Program will not be offered for Summer 2020.  Please check back in 2021.

The Summer Intensive English Program is a great opportunity for international students with lower English proficiency scores and/or a desire to stregthen their English to start their studies early at Foothill College in the Summer quarter and transition directly into the Fall quarter.

 
Program cost is $2,500 and includes:

Tuition and enrollment fees

Mandatory health insurance

125 hours of intensive English training

10 units of Foothill College credit

Small class with personal attention

Field trip to Bay Area sights and attractions

Guaranteed admission for the Fall quarter upon completion of the program

Housing, books, transportation, and personal expenses are NOT included in the program cost.

Application Requirements

For admission consideration, please submit the following documents to our office by the deadline dates: 
1. International Student Application
2. Original financial letter
3. Transcripts (high school and/or college). If you are under 18 years old, you must provide proof of high school completion before May 22, 2020.

4. English proficiency score:

TOEFL          52+
IELTS             5.0+ 
iTEP               3.5+
Eiken Step  2A+
Duolingo     90+

Housing

Fall Quarter Orientation 

All students who successfully complete the Summer Intensive English Program are required to attend the regular fall quarter orientation in early September.  Fall orientation details will be posted here when available.
