The Foothill College Education Plan (EP) was rebranded as the "Blueprint for Success 2030" beginning in 2025. College goals and objectives are identified in the document and will help prioritize institution- and program-level strategies to support students more effectively.

What is the Team Charge?
Review and reimagine the college's 2016-2022 Educational Plan (EP) as part of a regular cycle of review in institutional planning.
What is an Educational Plan?
The Foothill College Educational Plan (EP) identifies the institution's goals and strategies for advancing the college's mission. Both short-term and long-term planning efforts are meant to reflect what the institution does, what it aspires to accomplish, and how it plans to approach and attain its EP goals.

Foothill 2030: Blueprint for Success Timeline
The EMP Update Team will form in Fall 2023 and begin work in Winter 2024, with the following milestones through Winter 2025:
- Fall 2023: EMP Update Team Identified
- Fall 2024: Onboarding & Planning Alignment
- Winter 2025: Gathering Data and Voices
- Spring 2025: Drafting the EMP
- Late Spring 2025-Early Fall 2025: Reviewing & Soliciting Feedback
- Fall 2025: Submit for Board approval
Planning Framework for Phase III: Goal Setting
On May 8-9, 2025, the Foothill 2030: Blueprint for Success committee and the Senior Leadership Team engaged jointly in a facilitated, interactive two-day session to complete Phase III: Goal Setting.
The participants reviewed data trends and planning assumptions, listening and vision session themes, and challenges and opportunities identified through the SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results) analysis.
Overarching Decision-Making Approaches
The following six overarching planning and decision-making approaches were identified as critical in framing the goals and objectives and essential to be woven through all stages of plan development.

- Equity-Minded
- Resource-Aligned
Goal-setting participants worked diligently throughout the two days to identify broad goals and a set of collegewide objectives for each goal that would serve as the blueprint for the new five-year Blueprint for Success.
