Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs
in the square holes…
Christopher has always believed that the best ideas—the ones that truly change lives—start
as something unconventional. Something that others might dismiss as too bold, too
different, or too impractical. But to him, that’s where the magic happens. As the
Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Services at Foothill College,
Christopher sees every challenge as an opportunity to think differently, approach
problems from unexpected angles, and build solutions that are not just effective,
but transformative.
Innovation isn’t just for technology companies; it belongs in education, in student
services, and in the way people connect with one another. Whether coordinating campus-wide
initiatives, developing student engagement programs, or managing high-impact events,
he strives to create experiences that challenge the norm and inspire new possibilities.
At Foothill College, student services are not just about providing education; they
are about shaping futures. And that requires a willingness to break free from the
“way things have always been done.” It takes courage to ask, What if? What if student support systems were designed to reflect the realities of students’
lives today? What if engagement strategies were as dynamic as the students themselves?
These are the kinds of questions that drive Christopher’s work—questions that inspire
real change.
The ones who see things differently—they’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect
for the status quo.
Christopher sees his role as more than just supporting leadership; it is also about
fueling progress. Thriving on building connections, fostering collaboration, and finding
creative ways to make complex initiatives run seamlessly, he works to ensure that
student services are not only impactful but visionary. Whether leading a training
session on software systems, planning a fundraiser, or facilitating a donation drive
for students in need, his focus remains on innovation, efficiency, and community impact.
But thinking differently isn’t just about big ideas; it is also about the small, everyday
moments where innovation is chosen over complacency. It is in the way people communicate,
build teams, and empower those around them. Christopher believes that every role—no
matter the title—has the potential to shape the future. And that is what excites him
most: the chance to be part of something bigger, to challenge assumptions, and to
make things better, even in ways that others might not have imagined yet.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the
ones who do.
