Professor Johnson worked in Silicon Valley as an engineering manager for over 20 years before turning to teaching. She came to this area on a Stanford scholarship and stayed for the fun of being where it's all happening. She brings her computer, e-commerce, software and internet services experience from Propel (a startup), HP, Adobe and KLA to the teaching profession. Students taking Professor Johnson's courses can expect lectures, work with state of the art simulators/software, hands on projects and a dash of industry savvy. Professor Johnson loves STEM and teaches 3D and Arduino courses to middle school and high school during the summer. In addition, she loves traveling when time permits.
