About the Program

The studio art program empowers students to learn diverse perspectives and practical portfolio art skills for transfer into art schools and university studio art programs. We offer a range of beginning to intermediate level ceramics, digital arts, drawing, life drawing, 2-D, and 3-D design, painting and art theory. Our equitable schedule of courses is offered on weekdays, weeknights, weekends, face to face, hybrid, zoom and online to fit students' needs.

Life Drawing Marathon with drawing of a man leaning forward

Foothill art instructor Hilary Gomes will lead an all-day figure drawing experience from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. on the Main Campus, offered through Community Education.

Students, local artists, and the community in the Peninsula and South Bay area are invited to draw from the live models. There will be three rooms for quick and long pose robed and unrobed figure drawings.

  • General Admission: $50
  • Students: $35, includes high school, community college, or college; no ID required
