About Our Counselors

Richard Saroyan, Counselor for Veterans Services

Saroyan

Greetings. I have been counseling for 10+ years, first helping students and veterans with disabilities at San Jose State University. After gaining proficiency in career and disability counseling, I had the opportunity to develop expertise in academic and transfer counseling at a nearby community college. As a military dependent and former community college student, I am honored to be the lead counselor for the Veterans Resource Center here at Foothill College while going above and beyond to provide you with high-touch services. I hope to meet you soon, understand your goals, and help empower you to make informed decisions.

Miriam Orozco Ramirez, Adjunct Counselor for Veterans Services

Then, I pursued an M.A. in Counseling and Guidance and a Pupil Personnel Services School Counseling Credential at San Jose State University. From 2022-2023, I had the opportunity to work as an Academic Coach for the DRC at Foothill College. It is a great honor to be in this new position and continue to help students with academic, transfer, and career counseling. I look for
