About Our Services

In-Person Tutoring Now in 3600

All in-person STEM and Writing and Language tutoring services will be held in the 3600 building — with the exception of some extended in-person STEM tutoring services held in the Foundations Lab (room 4201) and extended Writing and Language services in the Linguistic Justice Lab (6409).

Hours subject to quarterly availability. Check out our Canvas schedules for most current hours. 

Tutoring Supports

What was once the Writing and Language Center (WLC) and STEM Center, has transitioned to a combined service format -- Tutoring across all subjects. Whether you are working on an essay for an English class, a research assignment for your geography class, learning a language, or working through a scholarship essay, our tutors are here to help online or on-campus! 

We acknowledge the value of providing our services in more than one modality to make our tutoring accessible to all students. Most of our tutoring services and workshops are available online via our online office space LRC Zoom room, as well as on-campus in building 3600 each quarter.

Steps to Meet with a Tutor

Online
  1. CHECK for our tutoring hours above.
  2. LOG INTO Tutoring Online Drop In System OR log in to Tutoring Appointment System to schedule an appointment.
  3. FOLLOW THE PROMPTS to access drop-in tutoring or to schedule an appointment. (Note: The Drop In button will be inactive during hours when no tutoring is available.)
  4. CLICK ON ZOOM LINK to enter tutoring zoom room.

NOTE: You can access the Tutoring Center while in Canvas, too.

  • Select the Student Support Portal icon on the left menu.
  • Look for the Tutoring tile.

In-person
  1. CHECK for our  tutoring hours above.
  2. Drop-in to building 3600 (behind the library) to meet with a tutor.
  3. As you arrive, please sign-in to one of our kiosks. Make your way to front desk and let our team know you are interested in meeting with a tutor.
  4. You will then be placed with a tutor based on availability. There might be situations in which you will have to wait for a tutor to be available. We encourage you to bring your coursework along so you can prepare for your session as you wait.
