Monday MARCH 2	POLITICAL & CIVIC ENGAGEMENT FAIR Campus Center Dining Room (2201); Noon-1 p.m. Get Out the Vote! Join us for a civic and political opportunities event with music, a free taco bar, photo booth and information for voter registration. Sponsored by ASFC and The League of Women Voters.
Tuesday MARCH 3	ELECTION DAY - VOTE! Use your voice and vote! You can conditionally register and vote at your county elections office after the 15-day voter registration deadline. Learn more
Wednesday MARCH 4	WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH OPENING CEREMONY Campus Center Dining Room (2201); 12 noon-1 p.m. Join us for the 100th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote Celebration with an information fair and lunch. Speakers include Foothill President Thuy Nguyen; Protima Pandey, Director, Director, Office of Women's Policy at County of Santa Clara; and Julie Cates, League of Women Voters Los Altos.
Friday MARCH 6	FILM SCREENING: "HE NAMED ME MALALA" Hearthside Lounge (2313); Noon-1:30 p.m. The documentary “He Named Me Malala Film,” tells a story of a teenage Pakistani girl who was shot for her advocacy of women’s education, her survival, and her continued efforts. There will be snacks and a small discussion after the screening.
Wednesday MARCH 11	LECTURE: 100th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE VENUE CHANGE to KCI Room 4004 11 a.m.–Noon Featuring Dolores Davison, Foothill College Women’s Studies Chair Since its passage 100 years ago, the 19th Amendment has been the object of challenges, concerns, and celebration. What issues were and continued to be prevalent in other movements in which women are involved, beginning in the 19th century and continuing to today? And how did this 19th Amendment compare to and influence other movements for voting rights around the world?
Wednesday MARCH 11	COLLEGE HOUR: WE FOR SHE OPEN MIC VENUE CHANGE: Lohman Theater (8000) Noon-1 p.m. The We For She Club is an intersectional feminist club that will be collaborating with Puente, Project Hope, Define America, Black Student Union, and Female Drummer Adaku Davis to host this event. We hope to provide a platform for the voiceless through establishing a safe space where students can hear powerful and groundbreaking stories. Through focusing on the power of the individual, we seek to celebrate resilience.
Thursday MARCH 12	EVENT CANCELED POETRY READING: THE IMMORTAL SUNFLOWER, featuring Sophia Falco, UCSC Transfer Foothill Alumni Hearthside Lounge (2313); 11-11:50 a.m. Sophia Falco is a former Foothill student now at University of Santa Cruz. Her poetry about living with manic-depressive disorder is gaining her increasing praise and attention this year.
Wednesday MARCH 18	EVENT CANCELED CLOSING CEREMONY & SELF-CARE EVENT Hearthside Lounge (2313); Noon–1 p.m. With finals week soon approaching, The We For She Club will be providing a space for artistic and creative expression. Throughout our event, We For She Club Advisor Fountainetta Coleman will lead a sound bath meditation to address the importance of taking care of one's physical health. Additionally, Foothill College Psychology Professor Tiffany Rideaux will be leading an essential discussion regarding the importance of mental health. Feel free to join us for a rejuvenating experience like no other. Tea and refreshments will be provided!
