Foothill's fall quarter runs Sept. 20–Dec. 10. Registration begins Monday, July 12.
Apply & Register for Fall Quarter
April 1: Apply for admission if you are a new student to Foothill College or a returning former student. Fall classes begin Sept. 20.
May 8: Attend Day on the Hill, our free, family-friendly open house — virtually!
June 22: View schedule of classes (Note: Release date has been changed.)
June 30, 2021: Last day for international students to apply for fall 2020

Priority Enrollment Registration Dates
NEW STUDENTS: All steps must have been completed to receive priority registration for Fall Quarter.
CONTINUING STUDENTS: You must have enrolled during Spring Quarter to qualify for the best date for Fall Quarter.
In accordance with new state and local regulations, students will be assigned registration dates in the following order.
Priority registration is set up for First-Time college students with a goal of obtaining
their first degree or certificate. You will not be able to receive priority higher
than Group 6 if you've previously attended college or a university and/or received
You may register from your start date through Sept. 19. Fall classes start Monday, Sept. 20.
|July 12–Sept. 19: Veterans, Foster Youth, DSPS, EOPS and CalWorks students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have declared an academic major. *exceptions apply*|
|July 14–Sept. 19: Athletes who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and have
declared an academic major and have an updated education plan.
|July 15–Sept. 19: Continuing who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; updated education plan and have declared an academic major.|
|July 16–Sept. 19: New, fully matriculated college students who have completed orientation, assessment and an educational plan; selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.|
|July 19–Sept. 19: New, non-matriculated college students who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major BUT have not completed assessment, orientation or an educational plan.|
|July 20–Sept. 19: Transfer students (from any other college) and returning students (who have completed one term at Foothill College) who have selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; and declared an academic major.|
|July 21–Sept. 19: All other college students, including continuing students, who have not declared a major or who have not selected an educational goal of transfer, degree or certificate; who have completed more than 100 degree-applicable units; who hold a degree; and/or had two terms on academic probation.|
|July 27–Sept. 19: Dually-enrolled high school students who are freshman, sophomores, juniors or seniors or meet other criteria to attend Foothill College.|
Paying Your Fees
Aug. 11 & Sept. 1: Drop for nonpayment on cumulative fee balances of $250 or more will occur by end of day.
Adding Classes After the Quarter Begins
- You can add a class with an instructor's add code/permission during the first two weeks of the quarter only.
- When you add classes, you must pay all fees at the time of registration.
- You will not be permitted to submit add codes after the end of the second week. Plan accordingly.

- Note: Deadlines listed below are for standard 12-week classes.
- Please View Your Class Schedule inside MyPortal for add/drop deadlines for your non-standard length classes.
- All deadlines are enforced.
|Monday, Sept. 20: First day of Fall Quarter 2021|
|Friday, Oct. 1: Last day to add 12-week, quarter-length classes. Add date is enforced.|
|Sunday, Oct. 3: Last day to drop for a full refund or credit (for 12-weeks, quarter-length classes). Last day to drop for a refund/credit for all other classes is listed inside MyPortal. LOG IN to MyPortal > SELECT Apps from menu > Under Students, SELECT Student Registration> VIEW Your Class Schedule. All deadlines are enforced.|
|Sunday, Oct. 3: Last day to drop 12-week, quarter-length classes with no record of grade. Drop date is enforced.|
|Friday, Oct. 15: Last day to request pass/no pass grade. Request date is enforced. You may complete the form online in MyPortal before the term begins. Once the term begins, you must submit a signed online form to the Admissions & Records Office.|
|Thursday, Nov. 11 Veterans Day Observance, Campus Closed|
|Friday, Nov. 12: Last day to drop with a "W." Withdraw date is enforced.|
|Thursday–Sunday, Nov. 25–28: Thanksgiving Holiday Recess (no classes)|
|Monday, Dec. 1: Deadline to petition for Fall Quarter degree or graduation.|
|Monday-Friday, Dec. 6–10: Final exams|
|Friday, Dec. 10: Last day of Fall 2021 Quarter|
|Monday, Dec. 13–31: Winter Recess|
|Monday, Dec. 20 View fall grades in MyPortal|
|Monday, Jan. 3: First day of Winter 2022 Quarter|
