Spring 2022 Clubs
Active Minds of Foothill College
Active Minds (formerly Project Hope) seeks to create and maintain a positive, open-minded, and destigmatizing culture in the Foothill College community. We achieve these goals by promoting student mental health through events that bridge wellness and cultural awareness.
To educate and inform students about anthropology.
Many students at Foothill College are biology majors or are interested in biology in general. We want to provide a place to discuss the biology-related topic for such students, who will be motivated and impressed by each other sharing their interests in the biological field.
Black Student Union (BSU)
The Foothill Black Student Union exists to develop student leaders that impact their community through advocacy and activism.
Business and Entrepreneurship Club
Business and Entrepreneurship Club at Foothill College strives to help students spark interest, grow ideas, develop knowledge, and present their accomplishments in the world of business.
To have an opportunity for students interested or involved in ceramics to connect and engage outside the classroom through pottery events.
Computer Science Club
We promote fun and practical applications of computer science by providing a friendly community of both students and alumni to share and discuss concepts, ideas, and projects, with regular workshops and hackathons. Everyone from beginners to pros are welcome!
Creative Writing Club
We are a club that gives students opportunities to improve their creative writing skills, creates a safe space to share writing, and explores different genres of creative writing.
Data Science & AI Club
We aim to support community college students with diversified interests by providing them with valuable information and hands-on opportunities in the fields of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. Together, we will help our members get started and cultivate new skills in these interdisciplinary fields.
Debate Club aims to prepare students to engage in the public discourse with clear thoughts, confidence, and respect. We aspire to cultivate the next generation of leaders who will bring positive changes to society.
Dental Hygiene Club
The dental hygiene program is a Bachelor of Science program with 24 students in each class. The clinic provides dental hygiene care for our students and communities who need dental hygiene care but are unable to afford it because of their limited incomes.
The purpose of the Economics Club is to connect students planning on majoring in Economics or those who simply have an interest in it with activities and opportunities that allow for deeper exploration of the vast, interdisciplinary field beyond a traditional classroom setting. This club is for anyone considering going into a career in management consulting, financial risk, investment, or data analysis, economic research, accounting, investment banking, and more!
We strive to change the world and create social impact through entrepreneurship, leadership, and community.
We are a friendly community of students looking to explore the world of engineering through activities and projects by providing students with fun experience outside the classroom. As an added benefit, we hope to give our members guidance from experienced advisors including veteran engineers from the industry!
Foothill American Chemical Society
As part of the American Chemical Society, FACS aims to serve as the chemistry club at Foothill, doing events related to preparing for the ACS exam as well as do larger projects that connect general chemistry and organic chemistry together.
A cross-cultural drumming (percussion) club which provides a healthy outlet for the Foothill community focused on generating joy, camaraderie, and appreciation of other cultures and the universal language of rhythm.
Foothill Hiking Club
To promote the exploration, enjoyment and preservation of nature, and a lifestyle of physical and mental wellness.
Foothill Indonesian Club
To gather and help Indonesian students in Foothill.
Foothill Medical/Dental Brigades
The mission of the organization shall be to introduce students to public health, international aid, and fundraise for a medical & dental service brigade to help underserved communities. The brigade is to take place in the summer either in person or as a virtual telebrigade.
Fund the Future
Educate ourselves and the public about global poverty through discussions and guest speakers. Take action to help alleviate global poverty through microcredit loans and supporting education in developing countries. Educate ourselves about other issues that will impact the future – such as climate change.
Gender and Sexualities Alliance (GSA)
GSA serves as a safe space for those trying to find community as well as a place where students can share struggles that can be solved together. On top of forming connections between students, the club also educates and advocates for a more equitable environment on campus in terms of gender and sexuality.
Geospatial Technology Club
We aim to create an inclusive space for students to engage with geography and geospatial technology through volunteer projects and opportunities for professional development. We hope to foster a sense of community within the Foothill GIST program and provide support for each other in our individual academic and career goals.
Homeless and Housing Insecure Student Alliance
The purpose is to provide peer support, advocacy, networking and resources to students who may be homeless, housing insecure and struggling with basic needs. This may be Zoom or in-person meetings where struggling students can discuss the obstacles they are facing and offer advice, support and resources. This may be done in person, or perhaps through an Anonymous bulletin board as students struggle with the stigma of homelessness and may be afraid to reveal their identities. We can also provide roommate bulletin board and housing leads.
Honors Connection Club
We foster an environment where communication and critical thinking are promoted in order to build lasting connections with fellow students through weekly meetings. The club acts as a resource and strong community for current and prospective students, providing members with opportunities to engage in social and academic activities that lead them towards their educational aspirations.
The purpose of the IEEE Club is to give both students and faculty access to the research, internship opportunities, reimbursed trips, and professional connections that come with an active Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Chapter. We plan to have monthly speaker panels from IEEE members, attend IEEE conferences, and network with IEEE members.
This club represents the Indian students at Foothill and hopes to divulge the cultural and traditional aspects. Moreover, we hope to increase knowledge on the historical, academic, creative, and athletic field pertaining to India, making it accessable and including people in our celebrations.
International Students Connection
International Students Connection is a community of International Students coming together as a family, a home away from home for the next couple of years before transferring to another university. ISC also celebrates different cultures and enhances appreciation for International Students within the Foothill College community.
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
We are a Christian community that welcomes people of all backgrounds to explore the Bible, build friendships, and serve the community. Come discover for yourself what the Bible says.

Japanese Culture Club
We try to share Japanese culture and experiences with a lot of students and make them be interested in Japan. We sometimes have special events and try to deepen engagement with each other.
To provide a news source centering Foothill.
The purpose of this organization shall be to bring Korean students together to help each other, introduce Korean culture to the Foothill College community, and reach out to the local community.
Latino Heritage Club
Latino Heritage Club's purpose is to cultivate and integrate various Latin cultures into our campus and host events surrounding the art and history within our cultures. We strive to help students understand their backgrounds and hope to get non-Latinx students involved within our community.
Muslim Student Association (MSA)
To provide a safe space for Muslim and non-Muslim Foothill College students to connect with each other and engage in conversations surrounding community wellbeing, Islamophobia, and global interests related to Islam.
One Community InterRegional Club
This is a for profit club whose purpose is to be a an InterRegional Resource Hub ran by students for their families and community members of their respective sub region. Initial goals are to help direct solutions to housing, food, and technology needs, and etc.
To provide an opportunity for students interested in learning or wanting to get involved in osteology and archaeology projects.
Owl Council on Foreign Relations
The Owl Council on Foreign Relations seeks to educate readers and encourage dialogue about international relations through a digital journal that publishes monthly issues on topics related to global events/foreign policy.
People of the Pacific
Our vision is to create a community that celebrates and shares our Polynesian pride. We are People of the Pacific, and we would love to share our culture with anyone who is interested in learning and joining a group of individuals who hope to share, learn, and create meaningful friendships with one another.
A union that welcomes and brings students of all backgrounds together and opens up conversations upon the impacts of the Latino community.
Respiratory Therapy Club
Our club is open to all students, as we do try our best to have volunteer opportunities to serve the community at large. We strive to educate, raise awareness, and promote our profession and to represent the Foothill College Respiratory Therapy Program.
Rock Climbing Club
To educate the club members on proper climbing practices. These include safety, technique and jargon. Further, we will be celebrating the climbing accomplishments of club members, this happens when a member enters a new climbing level. The rest of any given club day will constitute hanging out while eating lunch, while subsequently watching the climbing documentary we are currently on.
Student Chapter of The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (SCNAVTA)
SCNAVTA fosters the academic and career endeavors of future veterinary technicians while encouraging community outreach and philanthropic activities. Members benefit from the relationships they are able to build with their fellow classmates outside of the classroom environment and from the mentorship of the SCNAVTA advisor, Sandy Gregory.
Student Outreach Club
Student Outreach Club exists to empower students to seek alternatives to the traditional 4-year post-secondary education and address the inaccurate and negative stigma associated with community college through student-led outreach.
Social Justice Club
Our purpose is to bring our community and peers together to bring justice to social issues in our community and world. We collaborate with each other to find ideas of ways we can help ourselves and others live in solidarity together.
Student Veterans of America, Foothill College Chapter (SVAFCC)
This organization seeks to establish and maintain a network of student veterans attending Foothill College, and to provide them with the resources, assistance, direction, and support necessary to achieve their academic, professional, and personal goals.
Ultimate Frisbee Club
We will gather together to enjoy the outdoors, each other's company while getting exercise by playing the great sport of ultimate frisbee.
Value Investing Club
We aim to provide students who are interested in investing a platform to learn and discuss. We focus on building our financial knowledge and achieve financial freedom as soon as possible.
Women in Business
The purpose of the club is to create a platform for females who have interests in business to share their ideas. We also provide a chance to foster professional development and provide career-networking opportunities. We regularly organize workshops to share internship experience and help members improve their career planning. This organization is a safe place where females and other underrepresented gender groups discuss contemporary business issues.
Women in STEM Club (WIS)
To Encourage Innovative and Creative Minds.
ICC meets on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. for the 2022-2023 school year.
ICC will resume meeting in Fall 2023. More information will be posted then.
