60th Annual Commencement Ceremony

It is official!  Our 60th annual commencement ceremony will be held virtually on Friday, June 26 at 6:00 p.m.for the graduating class of 2020. The ceremony link will be displayed on this page shortly. Stay tuned!

Please feel free to let your friends, family, and neighbors know to save the date, June 26, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. It will be special, memorable, and very fun. We will have music and lots of surprises. You deserve it!

Apply to Be Student Speaker

Thank you to all students that have applied to be a student Speaker, we will have auditions on May, 29th from 1-3 pm.  The Office of Student Affairs and Activities will reach out to the students selected to schedule an appoinment.

JUN 3 Deadline to submit photos for the Class of 2020 Digital Yearbook that will be displayed during the Commencement Ceremony on June 26. If you wish to submit photos, you can email us at or submit them to the dropbox that was emailed to you from our graduation email.

JUN 26 Foothill College 60th Commencement Ceremony. Virtual ceremony is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The link to view the ceremony will be displayed on this website.

What is a Virtual Ceremony?

Graduation is the culmination of all of your accomplishments. We're very disappointed that graduation will not be in-person, but we are working very hard to ensure it’s a special evening. We will have speeches, presentation of special awards, and the presentation of each individual graduate as a livestream event. You will be presented using individualized slides with pictures and a quote of your choice (see example below).

How do I register to participate in the Virtual Ceremony?

You will receive an email from with a link to register for the ceremony. The deadline to register is Friday, June 12.  If you have not received a link via email, email

How do I petition to graduate? What's the deadline?

If you would like your name in the Commencement Ceremony Program you must petition to graduate by May 29, 2020. Students who want to petition to graduate should schedule a counseling appointment.

Why do I need regalia?

Ordering regalia is optional, but for those who wish to order it, the deadline is June 15. Each graduate will have a personalized slide that will be displayed on screen while their name is called by their respective division dean. This slide, as seen in the example below, will include a picture that you submit. If you would like to submit a picture wearing your regalia, you have to option to order your regalia through our bookstore.
