Quick Questions is a great opportunity to get your quick, burning questions answered FAST! Available on a limited basis, Quick Questions are generally 15 minutes in length and handled on a first come-first served basis. See the Counseling Services page for dates and times for genereal Quick Question sessions.
F-1 visa international students may see any counselor by virtual appointment for educational plans and other counseling questions. Appointments must be scheduled specifically with an international counselor for the following reasons:
- I-20 Extension: counselor recommendation & educational plan
- Optional Practical Training (OPT) & educational plan
- Reduced Course Load (less than 12 units)
Note: Students requesting a reduced course load for medical reasons must meet directly with the immigration advisor in the International Student Office, not a counselor

Our Quick Questions will continue to be offered, however they will be a phone session. Please call the main Counseling line at 650-949-7423, and you will be placed on a call back list during the below days and times:

International Student Drop-in is on first come-first served basis. If your question or issue requires more time, you may be asked to schedule a 30 minute appointment. NOTE: F1 International Drop-in maybe be subject to change.
